Our new timber frame buildings are way above the new EU Euro 5 code, which means we are leaps and bounds in front of anyone at the moment in the market.

We do not build fancy, tree houses that lose value and cost a fortune, we build/manufacture timber frame units-houses-cabins that will cost less than the rest and will be a an investment, not a loss!

We feel it should be illegal to build a timber frame unit in C16, we also think it should be illegal to actually build the Cabin-House-Park Home-on site from scratch, as this compromises the integrity of the KD timber.

This timber is not treated when it is used for internal stud work, and, as we, all know it rains every other day, and all and any framework should not be subjected to any moist conditions.

Your building should be delivered in finished sections, that are water proofed, most of the time;

Companies do not have enough internal factory space to manufacture panels, which means they do the manufacturing of the panels on site-in your garden- in all weathers- Not Good!

Our New designs have seemed to have caught the public’s attention. Over the last few days our email boxes have been full of the public wanting to know specs, and prices, which is a great slap on the back for our in house design teams that work day and night to come up with affordable Cabins, Log Cabins, Timber Frame Buildings, Laminated Cabins, Glulam Cabins and now Luxury Residential park Homes!

Logcabins.lv has over the years designed some truly amazing buildings, which have now filtered into a lot of other mass rubbish bulk cabin manufacturers catalogs, I think the most Iconic building we designed that has been massively copied is the Clock House, also we were the first to offer Twin Skin Log Cabins, which a lot of companies now offer, so its always nice to know we push forward with New Ideas and the rest follow! Sadly the quality of 99.9% of the market is Rubbish, and is fit for only bonfire night.

So Now we have turned our attention onto Residential Cabin living, and how it can and should be improved.

Caravans and Park Homes are sadly, large, unfriendly boxes, with zero character, and high price tags and more than not insufficiently insulated and internally kitted out with cheap furniture . And when you need to sell up, you loose 90% of your investment. The only winner is the park owner and the taxman!

Seriously, have you looked at what is on offer in today’s market where residential Park Homes are concerned? They are boxes with windows. Boring, and about as aesthetic as a shoebox.

Over the years, we have seen a shift in design from the standard, awful looking, Eco Killing Poorly Insulated Standard Caravan, towards a more residential looking structure made from thin timber framing and gallery windows. Aesthetically nicer looking but still poorly insulated and way over priced.

Logcabins.lv design team once again brings to market an awesome newly inspired design that not just makes all other residential cabins or park homes look “yesterdays fashioned” but kicks ass where high insulation values and low pricing are concerned.

When buying a park home, or a static caravan, your main concern is that you have a warm comfortable homely environment, with all the mods and cons! (But should investment also be a factor?) And that your investment will reap rewards on turn of sale!

No doubt, most of you have done your homework and have looked at the second hand value of the Park Home units you are looking to purchase.And sadly you will discover that 99.9% of them are only worth a mere fraction of the original cost!

Our thoughts on this problem have pushed us to start to design Park homes that not only cost a lot less, but will hold their value, looking at what is available on the market at present we believe our build standards are way in front of anyone now and in the future.

Lets look closely what is available on the market to date.

After visiting 10 websites offering park homes, we have found none of them actually mention construction, only stating Plastic Windows, Doors, and a 40-year life on the metal roof, which is standard to all metal shingles. A lot of companies show modern furniture, bathrooms, and kitchens, most of which is either purchased from IKEA or China! If you take away all the pretty pictures of inside, what are you left with? Yep! a very thin, flimsy box with UVPC windows and doors. Starting price 80.000 pounds plus! Amazing value!!

We don’t think so!

It amazes us, when you look at what companies write on their website, they use wording like, amazing Finnish Pine, what is amazing about Finnish Pine? Seriously? Its Pine, amazing Pine comes from Northern Siberia. Its tighter grained and a lot less knotty.

Educating the public and being honest about what is really on sale is missing in this business, its “time-share” looking for another avenue to sell unsuspecting pensioners the dream!

Most of us saved as young adults to buy our first house; we then sold that and bought something bigger to accommodate the family, the profit from our first house helped us buy bigger, climbing the ladder, and all through our lives we invest in our property, adding extensions, summer rooms etc, all of us invest in the future for our children.

So we retire, sell the house, and look for an idyllic spot to have some calm in life, so you look on the internet and spot a park home offering amazing views and quality park home units, with photos showing fields and meadows, ponds and lakes.

You’re then given a brochure with amazing photos of park homes, looking modern, amazing, and as always sited on the park of your choice, and the cost for all this is starting at 145.000 pounds.

So, what actually are you getting for your money?

If your Park Home is 6m x 20m then a as part of the price you are given a plot of land on lease to stand your residential park home.

Questions to ask, is your residential park home highly insulated?

Is your park home an investment?

What kind of materials is used to manufacture your park home?

Will your park home qualify in say 10 years against any new regulations that might come from the EU regarding U vales, or building codes?

Is your park home made from building materials that will last 10 years? Are they graded? And what grade?

Is the furniture inside your new park home really worth the money it’s costing you?

What kind of insulation value does your Park home have?

Lots and lots of questions, and do you really need to ask them, well! simple answer to that is Yes!

Would you buy a car with faulty brakes?

Would you sleep in a room that was damp?

Would you buy a house that costs 10 pounds a day to heat?

Would you buy a house that would loose you money daily?

Would you buy a house that would need complete renovation with in say 3 years to meet building codes-regulations?

The answer to all these questions is NO!

Galvanized metal materials needed for segment assembling: bolts, anchoring bolts, metal plates are included.

What is the Clear difference between a Log Cabin and a Interlocking Shed?

Over the last few days, our partners in the UK, and Ireland have been asked what is the difference between a Logcabins.lv Log Cabin, and a Logcabins.lv Interlocking Shed.

I thought I would write a quick Blog on the difference between the two.

The Log Cabin which is sold by many in the UK is a design that originates from Europe. Yep the dreaded EU!

The First large company to mass produce LOG CABINS was a company called Mc Garden from Germany.

Their production was around 7000 buildings a month. Their sole output was to Germany, and the rejects were then sold on to Britain and other countries.

When companies in the UK, mainly shed-manufacturers and sellers, saw how popular log cabins were becoming, then every man and his dog, started importing them and selling them. Also we have small home grown companies buying in the machinery and trying to produce log cabins themselves.

So we all shout hurray ! We have Log Cabins! But really you do not! What you have is a mess, a lot of the same, being manufactured by the same like minded people, and sold at the same pricing level! Basically we have the same rubbish being manufactured, or imported by 99.9% of cabin, log cabin sellers in the UK.

Sound’S a bit harsh? Well sorry but it’s sadly the truth.

Please go to Google and type in log cabins, or garden cabins, or something similar and what you will see is the same of the same, site after website, all of them saying they only use FSC timber, but the designs, yep starts to make you yawn!

So our once beautiful gardens are now beginning to take on a european look, this is not all bad, as the Europeans, especially the Swiss ( I know they are not in the EU) design, and craft amazing looking cabins, as do the Latvians, Lithuanians and Slovakians and of course not forgetting the Finnish and Swedish! But in general the design of a log cabin has been kept the same because of production costs and the like.

So!! Garden Log Cabins designs stem mostly from a high output, cost cutting and profit.

As everyone knows we have the most amount of log cabin designs on the globe, more to follow, but! the most important part of our designs is that they are unique, to us, Sadly though they are always copied by the half wit’s of the industry.

OK..So we thought it would be good, to offer in a stronger, more solid fashioned material (Timber )the basic, original Garden Shed design, take the garden back to looking amazing, with out high prices.Keeping the UK Original Shed designs alive!

So whats new! Thats an Easy one to answer, our interlocking sheds, made from 28mm interlocking logs are 100% British, Welsh, Scottish design out buildings that will fit nicely into your back garden and won’t make a huge dent in your wallet!

We are very proud of this range, as it has taken us many months to research what were the best selling sheds in the UK, and then better them by offering them in a thicker material, with better windows and doors, with thicker floors, and keeping our FSC sourced Spruce timber natural looking, inside and out!

As most of you know, the reason most sheds are impregnated green (Tanalith) is because the timber is normally 8mm thick, which leads to very quick rotting, so to over come this most shed suppliers impregnate, and you end up with a building in your garden that is an off green colour!

Our Interlocking sheds, need a coat on the out side of a good oil based stain, and that leaves the inside fresh and natural, no nasty green chemicals!
