Here is another one of our finished timber frame projects.

This little beauty is two beds, two baths, fully insulated, timber frame unit, clad in Siberian larch, and meets the UK full building regulations.

Unlike the rubbish sold in the UK under the guise of quality control by the government and given a few number and letters (BS 3632).

The BS3632 is laughable, our pensioners are robbed blind of their savings,

With the grandiose thoughts of safe investment, and living their retirement in a quality building, with in a safe gated environment.

But reality is that their hard earned savings, are stolen in a hand shake, and their dream park home, luxury lodge is no more that board, screws and glue, with cheap UVPC windows.

A Luxury Lodge / Park Home, should be to full building regulations. There should not be any if or buts about it.

All buildings that are lived in full time should be built to last, and be a sound investment.

Highly Insulated Timber Frame Housing

As one of the largest timber frame house suppliers in Norway, we are often asked to manufacture highly insulted timber frame buildings for the northern most part of the country. Norwegians are very much into keeping the landscape looking natural and designing their properties to blend into the countryside.

Norway has one of the highest build regulation standards in the world. TEK 10.

Three times that of the UK and most of Europe.

Insulation values are a major part of this high standard, but also on par with insulation is build quality. Visual Graded CE KD C24 is the only grade expectable for all weight bearing walls, roof etc. Most of Europe and UK use Visual Graded C16, which is the bottom most part of the Visual Grade Scale. (Please ask your builder which grade he is thinking of using in your timber frame build).

Norwegians love to use sedum roofing out in the wilds, as this offers amazing insulation properties to the timber frame or Log Cabin dwellings and gives the building a natural feel, and also brings natural into the design, so it’s a plus, plus , plus!

Sedum roofing is a very heavy alternative to steal tiles, or shingles. All our timber frame buildings are built regardless if they are erected in Northern Norway or Essex with strength in every part of the construction.

Our residential timber frame park home buildings are not the average rubbish that is feed constantly to the public. Sorry for starting this blog attacking the establishment, but we truly believe the BS 3632 build code to which 99.9% of shed manufactures, or so called Park Home Manufactures abide by is truly not fit for purpose, and in the end you will see zero return on your investment of thousands of pounds / Euros as this build code is truly meant for only the manufacturer to earn from. The BS 3632 build code should be obsolete!

Timber Grading is just so immensely important where timber frame buildings-Park Homes-Glulam Log Cabins etc are concerned.

This 6.7 m x 18.0 m 3 bed residential Timber Frame Park Home is possibly the most sought after size in the industry, boasting 3 beds, 2 bathrooms, lounge, and kitchen, and other useful rooms.

We have a build team fully CIS registered, we are also have tradesmen’s that work part of our build team that offer all trades and are all registered tradesmen, Electric, Gas etc. Our Steel Sub frame is hand built, and absolute quality!

Attached are quite a few important photos, you will notice that all the timber on the panels are graded, and the grade is C24, 99.9% of companies use C16, which is the bottom end of grades, and the cheapest of timber, which does not seem to reflect in most companies prices.

Logcabins.lv has for a while been debating if we should offer to the public directly Timber Frame residential buildings and park homes. What we have noticed is that the pricing on the Park Home market is way too high,it reminds us of the days of time share, massive commissions! And! for what you get in the way of specification it seems to us there is more thickness in the sofa beds offered now in the park homes than actually in the the main timber structure. What we find hard to comprehend is that the Park homes sold today in the UK are wilfully under-manufactured, and the Insulation and other parts of the Park homes be it the windows and doors, are quite frankly crap!

What logcabinslv.co.uk would like to achieve through this ex works price, is to allow our retirement couples to be able to invest in a, highly insulated, quality built building, that is so way ahead of the competition, it not only increases in value, but will last the test of time. All our buildings come under the Euro 5 code, which far exceeds the lax BS 3632 code.

For a matter of reference, the government did try and lost to get a higher quality Park home onto the market, i.e, higher insulated value, etc etc. The park home manufactures in the UK went up in arms stating it would cost jobs etc.

Forget about offering our Mothers and Fathers quality buildings, Nop!! money as always ruled the day! Disgusting…

So in the next few weeks we are going to offer EX works prices. These prices will with out doubt upset the market to the core, as our specification will be double to that offered at present on the market place, and our prices will be a third!

No doubt the park Home industry will cry foul, but when we can offer a 6m x 16m for 40.000 euros ex works ( yes you read right), with top quality residential standard, CE certified windows and doors, insulated walls , roof and floor, with the timber frame walls being constructed of C24 through out, and Siberian Larch Cladding external, and a wall thickness of 300mm, not the pitiful 175mm or 110mm now offered on the market place.
