Other Building Materials vs. Timber

The Timber’s Durability

Durability is crucial when it comes to building materials. Timber, when properly treated and maintained, can withstand the test of time. Timber, unlike steel or concrete, has an inherent resistance to deterioration, making it a great choice for long-lasting constructions. Timber Building Specialists specialises in premium-grade timber selection and innovative preservation processes to ensure the long-term viability of our projects.

Environmental Longevity

Timber emerges as a forerunner in an era where environmental concern is vital. Timber is a renewable resource that may be sustained through good forestry practises. Timber construction has a lower carbon footprint than typical materials like steel or concrete. We are devoted to environmentally responsible practises and acquire our lumber from sustainable forests, helping to ensure a greener future.

I know you have been floating around the internet looking for that perfect log cabin, and they all seem the same, well your correct, they are all the same, they come off a massive production line that is designed to earn profit, and as much as possible, and these production lines use as less timber aas possible, which you might think is great, but not if your roof starts bowing, the windows and doors, leak, or there are bits missing, which is why we are busy 24/7 and our amazing assembly teams, do not go back to cabins after they have erected them.

The low end of the market, have 30% returns, and i am sure you do not want to be one of the customers that receive a log cabin from a supplier, garden centre or shed company that are just selling to earn, and you have waited and waited and it’s a heap of rubbish!

This is superb quality, ( Click me) found rarely in the Log Cabin market!

Each cabin has double-glazed, toughened joinery glulam windows and doors for safety and long-lasting performance. You may be confident that you’re getting the most value for your money with our affordable prices and fantastic features.

A kitchen, bathroom, living room, and two loft sleeping areas are included. This insulated twin skin log cabin is simply amazing for Airbnb or other rental opportunities, and it also makes a lovely addition to your garden. Factory Cabins Twin skin Log Cabins will bring years of delight due to its small footprint, but massive potential and manufactured by superior craftsmanship.

Adding a bathroom to an insulated log cabin twin skin, 44mm x 100mm x 44, is always a good idea for a variety of reasons. Firstly, it increases the value of the cabin, as it adds an extra amenity that potential buyers may be looking for. Secondly, it can be used to generate a passive income, particularly if the cabin is a two-room model, as it can be rented out as a holiday home or a long-term lodging. Lastly, it adds practicality to the cabin, making it more suitable for longer stays and providing a more comfortable living space.

The Reseller, Say Leon, calls us here at the factory and asks us if we would sell to his company our cabins, we then give him some of our designs, and they then start selling. Once they have sold a cabin, then its for the reseller, Leon to send us over the deposit for the cabin, once that is done, we then send over the plans, this is for him to take to the customer, and for them to say yes, he then signs the plans off, and then the cabin goes into production, we manufacture and you the customer would get it from the reseller in 7/8 weeks later. Once it is loaded on the truck, and we sign it off and the driver has acknowledged it is on the truck, its then stops being our property, and it is then the resellers. We do not pay for the trucking.

Now the trucking company will ship the cabin with out deposit, if they have done business with the Irish company previously and have-had a good relationship with said company. But If the cabin is put into storage, after say 2/3 months pass by and the reseller has not paid his bills, does not answer calls, emails etc, he will receive 3 emails from the shipping company, these emails demand payment with in ex days, they must pay for this cabin,, if they do not, then the shipping company is in its rights to sell the cabin and collect its money owed. I have heard of shipping companies selling the cabin just to retrieve their owed money! This is completely legal, and the problem is the only person that can take the cabin from the storage is a Judge or the Reseller ( we do not have address for customers of the resellers or any idea who owns what) , but even then its very difficult, as the cabin belongs to the shipper plus Reseller, and the dispute is between them, and not the customer who initially put the deposit down for the said cabin, and because the reseller will not tell the shipping company the owners name, they can not offer it to the customer who bought it off the Reseller. and by that time the person/persons do not believe anyone and call a lawyer, and if you contact the owner, they will only deal with the reseller even if you tell them the facts. Its madness, and we make it plain and simple once the cabin leaves the Factory its not our concern, unless something is wrong with the cabin, which there never is thankfully!
These kind of problems only occur thankfully once every five-six years, and or when the economy starts to take a tumble, then people get desperate and do stupid things.
None of our dealers ever started off just being untrustworthy! It happened because of a reason, and we are always the last to hear about it.
But I think we are the only compnay , unlike all the others to have sacked 99.9% of our dealers in 2020 because of this problem, as we had experienced this in 2007/2008.

We believe we are the best of the best in this up and down industry because we do care, and we do help, but sadly we are only the manufacturer, if you buy from us, its all in our pocket, if you buy from a reseller, once its on the truck and signed for, the company you bought the cabin from is responsible.

WHAT STOPS ALL THIS MESS IS PAYING WITH A DEBIT -CREDIT CARD!

WE ONLY ACCEPT PAYMENTS THROUGH CREDIT, DEBIT CARDS

Buying Direct, is safer, cheaper, and takes a lot less time, we always have trucks moving, , from A to B, and because all the buildings on the trucks are are ours, we can do a drop , drop, drop, if you buy from a reseller, then things get tricky, or it seems that way now, as there is less sales, and most websites ( resellers) just tell lies after lies.

Below is a massive amount of different designs I personally have done over the years, there are many more 1000.s but heres a few to let you in on our world.

Please watch this video, it has hundreds of designs, Hundreds.

Super Energy Housing.
Bespoke Designs Welcome…. Always.
If you are looking for a quality timber frame building then do not hesitate to give us a call. And if you are looking for a quality twinskin log Cabin, or one of our unique KI cabins, which we designed, manufactured, and brought to market, sadly they have now been copied by everyone and his dog, and most sadly look like they were made by the Dog, OK i am being unkind, but their doors and windows are awful. And service normally is with out a smile. We laugh when we get your call, why because we love our job, product, you and obviously your reaction to use after its built.

We shit every where, in container to all round the world, and we love the feed backs we get,

Heres some videos…..

The reveal all video about log Cabins and Timber Buildings

This one is a must watch, as it shows and tells so much, about other companies and the lies that are told to you on a daily basis.

OK…. there is quality and there is Factory Cabins which has the highest quality regard on design, build and price.
In todays life, there are lots of people that really want the best of the best, and it is a forgone conclusion that if you manufacture with the best materials and very highly skilled craftsman the outcome will be a product of intense beauty, to with stand mother nature and the years in front.
Many people buy a log cabins or a Timber Frame Buildings due to aesthetically pleasing pictures, and 3d videos companies show case.
We are very different, we design amazing houses, but we build superb timber frame buildings, as a drawing is never as good as the real thing!

This is exceptional quality as you can see, and with out fault, and where can you buy this from, Well, sadly only us, why? because we manufacture houses to the highest standard on the planet, and our skilled craftsman are the best of the best. Which really does mean…….
we are the best and thats that!

I will say this till I am blue in the face, but no matter what country you are in, if the builder wants cash, always say to yourself this one question, does your boss in Tesco’s, of in the bank , or where ever you work pay your salary in cash, no he does it through the bank, and you do the same, and my personal recommendation is

ALWAYS REMEMBER PAY WITH A CREDIT CARD

Sadly I have seen too many self employed cabin sellers, resellers, in England and Ireland steal, and I mean they have no intension at all in ever giving you the cabin, they just steal. So my advice, is to speak to a minimum of 10 of their previous customers before giving them a penny, then pay them by card. That way your safe.

THANK YOU FOR READING.

You want plans, photos and you can not even give me your phone number, well you know what I am going to say. I have so many stupid people call me and tell me they are going to build a camping site, and please can they have our in depth technical drawings of our amazing high quality top of the line camping pods, or our insulated passive housing, what ever, and then they submit that to the council, council say yes because the quality is so exceptionally high, also with safety at the forefront , and the product we offer does not look like a load of chicken sheds on a hill side of natural beauty, and then once the council looks at us they say yes, and then the Holiday Camping site Entrepreneur buys cheap crap, and saves himself 1000’s and puts all your lives at risk.

So we now say no, and no its going to stay, so if your calling me for a plan, it will cost you now a few pennies and you must offer a land line and mobile number. otherwise buy the crap from someone else.

Heres an example of a company that lies and cheats.

This joke of a company do not have my permission to sell my cabins, or use my images, but, Skinner Sheds are a law to themselves. but check out their pricing and they want to sell you a second hand cabin for £2000 more than a new one from us.

Skinners, again stealing our drawings, art work, design, and then over pricing you by ££££££££££££££££££ and its an ex display model! 11.879.00 for a second hand building. Wow, and his windows and doors are shocking, plus ex display means, shrinkage, water damage and stains. all equals, Rubbish for that price.

Yep, this is ours, ours alone, Skinners stole the art work as I said, and he is trying to steal from you £2000 plus with his price, however our cabin to you will have will have amazing windows and doors, his are sadly shed quality, his customer service is like talking to HSBC, and to top it off, his timber is Baltic, he purchases his cabins from a very good high volume mill, but it is a bulk mill, nothing fancy, nothing to write home about. The owner , cool dude, and he makes lots and lots of cabins, who he sells to everyone. Everywhere.

Hi Kevin, just wanted to share with you a few thoughts I have concerning your cabins and the one I bought from you.

Firstly, Wow, it’s an amazing Cabin, and the windows and doors, top notch, secondly the delivery was on time and actually I got back to work, so you were right about just a morning off, Also Kevin I want to say, your cabin was a joy to put together, and my family, yep the wife is now doing something in their in the morning with her mat and laptop, so all in all , amazing, your prices are high, but I will gladly tell anyone about the quality, I did not want cheap and nasty, which is why I did as you said and looked around, and all I found on display in the Sussex and Kent area were log cabins absolutely not worthy of their price tag, in fact I would say most were over priced by £2000 and more judging by what your specification is against theirs.

One company in Kent, his windows were the same as the guy selling in East Sussex, and yes you were right same both were buying from the same shoddy manufacturer, and yes you were right, the timber was Baltic pine, and yes you were right the windows and doors poorly manufactured. And yes, yours are the best, and if anyone is reading this Kevin Langham does manufacture and give amazing customer service and also calls you 2 months afterwards and asks how the build is faring up and how are things going, never have I had that kind of customer service,  and he really does in his cocky care way, f this and b that,  care about his customers, and actually I think cabins more, he asks for photos and tells where problems will occur and just does it right. He’s an honest hard-working good guy!  Best Regards .Tim

The post Customers Review Log Cabins appeared first on Factory Cabins LV Blog.

If you want to purchase a Log Cabin, and you live in Southern or Northern Ireland, God Help you, one minute your dealer is the gospel speaking saint who knows everything about log cabins, and the next they have disappeared.

What’s super sad, is that you give someone your Company Brand to use because it is the best of the best brand for these particular items, and comes along ( some awful lying tinker) and they have just ran off with loads of cash, you call the Police and no one answers, and customers are looking at us for help, which we want to do, but what can we do if they do not want to pay deposits with credit cards. Time to wake up!

Visa, Master Card, pull them out, ask for a higher insurance base on them, and pay all your deposits that way! Start being smart! Better to pay £100 extra a years and be safe than pay someone through the bank and loose the lot!

Section 75 is an important UK consumer protection law made in the 1970s that means your credit provider must take the same responsibility as the retailer if things go wrong with a purchase. Yet, it doesn’t work on all purchases – just those costing a certain amount:

Pay for something on a credit card £100+ and up to £30,000 and the provider’s equally liable if something goes wrong.

This isn’t the credit provider being nice. It’s a legal protection put in place so that you’re never in the position of paying off debt for something you didn’t receive or wasn’t as it should’ve been. Whether it’s a flight, kitchen, computer or anything else, pay on a credit card, store card or with store instalment credit, and the credit provider’s responsible too.

Imagine it has taken us 20 years to come from obscurity to the number one in design and manufacturing, you design an iconic garden buildings, and show the industry how to insulated a garden log cabin offices, twinskin it etc, and the tinker runs away.

So we are looking awful, and so is your bank balance, not if though you pay your deposit with a credit card.

Then this smiling face comes alone, asks to sell your brand and ( boom) they after 6 months start doing tricky stuff, lying, and not answering the phone, and sending emails to people just lying and lying, , and then, a customer calls and he says he gave money , deposit to the company and he can not get hold of them. what can we say, but call the police. Its theft, and is not a civil matter.

I have said this next part so many times, and i will say it time and time and time again.

PAY WITH A CREDIT CARD, YOU ARE INSURED WITH A CREDIT CARD, USE A CREDIT CARD, AND ESPECIALLY IF YOU LIVE IN IRELAND. PAY DEPOSITS WITH A CREDIT CARD.

So what happens then, you try and figure out whos who, who can you trust with your Brand, and who can you trust with customers money, and that is truly the hard one.

So we decided 2 years ago only dealers that took payments with credit cards, would sell our cabins, but??? in Ireland, its a problem, the customer does not want to pay with cards, he thinks paying through the bank is safe, well!! Hello everyone , its not, PayPal is safe, GooglePay is safe, Visa is safe, Mastercard is safe, Stripe, etc.

Why do you think high street banks are the best, simple, High Street Banks have hoodwinked you from day one, they are greedy bastards, useless at what they do, make you pay fortunes forever in payback loans and they trash talk everyone who is even better. Remember this when their is a problem, the banks never help, they will take your house from you in a blink, and if you need help they are normally the first to say NO! SEB swedish bank Amazing, Revolut Amazing, and I am sure there are many more smallish banks, but not High Street Banks.

We do not have any cabin dealers at all in Scotland, we sell Direct, so if you are looking for a riveting deal, would like to speak to a few of our customers who have bought direct, then please do not hesitate to give us a call.

The post Cowboys and Log Cabins. appeared first on Factory Cabins LV Blog.

Leon found it very hard to deal with the covid, also falling off a ladder, breaking his leg and ankle while out doing an assembly, ( this we found out to be a lie) and sadly the timber prices and the inflation in Ireland, and many other factors, have left Leon unable to continue business. he sadly lied to everyone, and we feel ashamed that we even know this guy, its the second time in Ireland this has happened.

( PAY WITH A CREDIT CARD )

Leon Vlahovic  will not be trading our LV log cabins from now on. As a precaution, we always say this, please do not give this dealer a deposit etc, as he is not now a dealer of log cabins or timber buildings.

Because Leon Vlahovic has not been arrested or found guilty of any crime, all we can only say that (Leon Vlahovic is not an LV Log Cabins dealer) , and please do not hand him over any money.

( we should add that any customer who is selling our brand, when we think something is amiss we tell the public that this certain dealer does not have Our Brand to sell LV, if he sells something and he has committed a crime, we will make a blog about this)

If anyone is looking for Leon, please give us a call , and we are looking for a customer Fergus Roche, If you are Fergus, please please give us a call ASAP. We have now had the Lawyer of Fergus Roche call us, and we have instructed her not to pay any more money, I must say the lawyer was very very rude, We are also happy to Say we found Emma, and Robbie, and have enough info to offer to the authorities.

As a company with over 20 years of selling to different companies log cabins, in many different countries, and actually getting 2 dealers of ours arrested and on TV for scamming customers, we are quite proud that we are very active in helping people and stop the fraud that is very much part of this industry. But I must say I am fed up with explaining to customers to use credit cards as a matter of payment to the dealer. https://www.logcabinslv.co.uk/blog/2021/11/14/cowboys-and-log-cabins/ this is just one of many blogs i have written, but no one listens.

PAY BY CREDIT CARD………………………………..

Now to today after listening to a lawyer, and the disgusting way she spoke to me, and blaming us here at the factory for another company stealing money off a poor customers, and us trying our best to stop this made me realise that something must be said.

When a manufacturer, who sells 100’s of cabins a year, to many different countries all self employed Dealers who all trade under their own company name , who then sell it on to their customers, and yes they can sell it as an LV Log Cabin, in so far as they are telling the customers that its an LV cabin our brand is the best, we have companies telling their clients its an LV when its not, we have customers who steal our images and say LV, if you read this blog you will see many of them, . As our brand its the best, and also has amazing reviews world wide, and as soon as crooked dealer steals off the customer, sadly we are not to blame, and the lawyer knew this today, as the dealer is self employed and he/she was selling to the customer ( Credit Card) , not us, we had no knowledge of this sale if it was or was not sold, if its a bespoke cabin we are then asked by our self employed dealer ( Leon) for a quote from us to price, and that’s that, the only time we get to know a name is if its quoted for, if the trader wants it, we send his company an invoice and everything moves on from there, he then gives to his customer the cabin if he has paid….BUT… If he takes money, and does not buy from us, we do not know, if he does or does not it’s not our concern. but there is more to this, because if the lawyer thinks we are responsible then all the other contractors are too, and our lawyer friend, the lawyer then must go after the all contractors who Leon was going to use to lay the concrete bed,-2000-2500- she must also go after the-3000 to 5000 Kitchen supplier and 2000 bathroom supplier, and everything else Leon promised, 800 Bed supplier, 800 Boiler, electrician, 1500 plumbing guy, 2/3/4000 depending on what is used roofing contractor, and the suppliers of that, as we supply the bare skin shell, Our price for the cabin is a very small part of the actual cost. Which one of our customers Emma has found, we managed to stop her cabin being resold as the time limit was up and storage and mill costs needed to be paid, which was coming to more than 1000 euros, as leon had stored the building and did not pay the trucking company . As a company this is another companies issues, and legally we have no right in law to stick our nose in, but those that know me, know I do. There were many cabins priced, Fergus, Emma , and and and, luckily the one in stock was Emma in Ireland, and she paid the charge Leon owed and got her cabin.

Getting back to a rude lawyer, that woman made me angry, this year i got TV3 in sweden, FSC, Ikea and Parliament together to speak about the deforestation of trees as Ikea was cutting massive lumps of forest and not replanting. And this woman calls me up and speaks to me like I am the bad guy and it’s all my fault. Where the fault lays is that she knows what to do, and that’s going to the clients address and giving him a lift to the Police Station.

Everyone who knows us knows we hate all this kind of disgusting behaviour, fraud, theft, and misinformation.

If someone takes something from you……. and they do not give it to you, its fraud, clear and simple, and its Police Matter, not Lawyer, pay me money!

If the company goes bankrupt, then it’s down to the liquidators to collect from the estate and hand it out evenly

And what makes me angry, is that she knows what the customer must do, but she then plays I will save the day and hands out large bills for a job she should not be getting involved with, and she knows this, and she knows who to call, but she wants to earn money from a poor old man who had 30.000 stolen from him. Then she starts threatening people. Which is rather counterproductive, as her motives are only self driven. And against a company that will sue her for defamation. And when we went back to her with some history, she was not interested, acted the high and mighty and seriously our company Lawyers child are more polite.

If you live in Dublin and you go to Colins BMW Service, and they sell you a car, you are buying from Colins, not BMW,we give our Self Employed Dealers warranty on this and that we are not giving to the customer, as the customer is not the purchaser to us, the Self Employed Dealer is.

So you all bough your cabins from Straight Solutions Kilkenny R95TPD9 IRELAND, owner Leon Vlahovic of Kilkenny R95TPD9 IRELAND, and all monies and payments were made directly to Leons Vlahovic company Straight Solutions Kilkenny R95TPD9 IRELAND also all sales and communication to do with your building was done from you to Leon Straight Solutions Kilkenny R95TPD9 IRELAND.

Only we at Log Cabins LV are allowed to use the url.LV we do not offer this out to any dealer.

If Leon owes you money, please contact the Police, not a lawyer. Our Lawyer has told us to ask all customers that were dealing with Leon Vlahovic, who was a full Self Employed Dealer of Log Cabins, Timber Buildings, Ground Works and who bought from us only Log Cabins, he also bought from other companies log cabins to make an official complaint. We have been instructed by Leon of Straight Solutions that he would take care of all his clients, we did not have a list, just a few names he threw at us for pricing, which we have tried to find, we found one, and as I said the lawyer was so incredibly rude. And most have come to us. We have asked them all to report this to the correct officials ( that being the police) who do not charge you money. as in most cases the poor customer has lost already enough through lies and deceit.

We helped Pope Concor a few years back in Ireland track down a very very very bad dealer , and get him arrested for selling awful cabins, and just being crooked through and through, as we hate this, and I am sure I will have a discussion with him on this . Also mention how lawyers are profiting from this misery when there is only one course of justice. This rude woman really has put my back up, and she is promising something to someone she can not give, and charging for it.

Leon Vlahovic is working under the guise of Straight Solutions.

If you are looking for a great brand of cabins, and are fed up with dishonest dealers, please come to us direct. +370 6889 3563

Log Cabins LV apologises for the trouble this man has caused, we can only check someone a certain amount, and the rest we must take on face value. Leon seemed like a trustable guy, he was selling cabins before we met him, but he wanted a better product, I think we can all agree on this, but his smile was a lie.

Anyway, that’s enough of that. Pay by card….. Always for anything under £30.000
