<p>The serial number will be marked in at least three places on homes. This worries me greatly, as I think the government is going to monopolise this industry and then inflate prices. However, the last time this was changed was in 2015, and now they have changed it again, 8 years later, so what is now considered a BS 3632 is not what you bought 8 years ago. So the depreciation on a 2015 model has just gone through the floor( in 9 months), and the reason I mention the floor to describe the depreciation is that the floor has gone from 0.35 U value to 0.26, which is huge, and the walls have also gone from 0.35 to 0.30, which may not seem like much to you, but it is a big difference to get the certification, especially if you have to meet all of the new construction requirements. I&#8217;m not sure how much it will cost to bring your park house up to code with a 2015 old BS 3632 renovation, but it will be pricey.</p>



<p>So, even if your investment in this new 2023 is jeopardised because the government will raise it again, what you must do is purchase your park home with a Net Zero tag, and this is where we can help you. We want to help you, and we want this horrible 1963 BS3632 law to be repealed forever.</p>



<p>And I believe the resellable value is jeopardised because, with the upturn of the new BS3632, knowing the market as we do, we know that most park home companies will push you to buy or get off site, so they can then bring on new units that are to the new BS3632 standard and earn more. The question is, when will this kind of behaviour stop? The answer to this is easy: when all the park homes and lodges are manufactured to Net Zero,. Net zero is when your building is super efficient.</p>

<p class="has-text-align-center">There are various reasons why this specification is seen as poor in comparison to an A++ grade for a mobile home.</p>



<p class="has-text-align-center">To begin with, the external wall thickness ranges from 160mm to 188mm, which is rather thin when compared to an A++ rated mobile home. As a result, the insulation installed in the walls will be less effective in keeping the home warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Thicker walls with superior insulation are more energy-efficient, resulting in lower energy expenditures for the homeowner.</p>



<p class="has-text-align-center">Second, the 140mm fiber-based quilted insulation in the walls falls short of an A++ grade. Better thermal performance and energy efficiency would be provided by a higher grade insulating material, such as spray foam or rigid foam board.</p>



<p class="has-text-align-center">Similarly, the 200mm of fiber-based insulation in the ceiling and 100mm of fiber-based insulation in the floor are insufficient to get an A++ grade. To increase the overall thermal performance of the home, additional insulation should be installed to these locations.</p>



<p class="has-text-align-center">Furthermore, while ventilated soffits and fascias to match the finishing are aesthetically nice, they contribute nothing to the home&#8217;s energy efficiency. Insulated panels for the soffits and fascias would be a more energy-efficient solution.</p>



<p class="has-text-align-center">The A-rated appliances fitted to a bespoke design are a pleasant feature, but they do not compensate for the home&#8217;s overall lack of insulation and poor thermal performance. Energy-saving appliances are crucial, but they should be supplemented with an energy-saving building envelope.</p>



<p class="has-text-align-center">Because they reflect heat back into the home, argon gas filled double glazed units fitted with &#8216;K&#8217; glass are a step in the right direction for energy efficiency. This feature, however, is insufficient to compensate for the rest of the house&#8217;s lack of insulation and poor thermal performance.</p>



<p class="has-text-align-center">Likewise, the 70mm A graded UPVC frame completed in a variety of colours is a lovely feature, but it does not compensate for the home&#8217;s lack of insulation and poor thermal performance. While energy-efficient frames are vital for preventing heat loss, they should be used in conjunction with improved insulation throughout the home.</p>



<p class="has-text-align-center">In terms of energy efficiency, the low energy lighting installed as standard throughout is a plus. However, it is insufficient to compensate for the home&#8217;s general lack of insulation and low thermal performance.</p>



<p class="has-text-align-center">Finally, the 12.5mm plasterboard applied to the outside walls is insufficient for an A++ certification. To improve the thermal performance of the walls, more insulation and thermal breaks should be installed.</p>



<p class="has-text-align-center">In conclusion, this specification is regarded as poor in comparison to an A++ grade for a mobile home due to inadequate insulation, a lack of thermal performance, and an overall energy-inefficient design. To earn an A++  grade, the house would need thicker, better-insulated walls, increased roof and floor insulation, insulated panels for the soffits and fascias, high-quality insulation materials, energy-efficient appliances, and improved overall thermal performance.</p>

<p>There are so many companies offering residential log cabins, which in all honesty are about as residential as a 3m x 3m garden shed.</p>
<p>When speaking to any company regarding a residential log cabin or timber frame, please make sure that it comes either to the standard of the mobile home act the BS 3632, (the new BS3632 2016) ruling, or to full building regulations, anything else is just a simple, non-residential building-cabin, timber build.</p>

<p>We have been designing cabins and supplying them to our dealer network for more than 16 years, and we still have a few dealers that started with us those many years ago, and this is where our strength lays, keeping core high quality dealerships around the UK, Europe with companies that are solely into selling Timber Buildings.</p>

<p>What we have found is that if a dealer sells other products, be it timber supplies, or lawn mowers, nail guns or paint, they sadly seem to only give half their attention to selling cabins, and when you are selling a log cabin, you must give it your full attention, and this is where problems arise.</p>

<p>So to stop this, we sadly as I said asked a few of our dealers that are not solely in the Timber Building industry to please remove our trade mark- ranges and wished them a great future. Some were understanding, others, well,,, were not!</p>

<p>We think this was proper and correct. The customer comes first, not profit!</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>And if people want to say nasty stuff about LV then it’s their right to express their inner anger, we are all for it, but we are more in tuned to customer service and keeping prices low and the quality of the workmanship high, than caring about disgruntled ex dealers.</p>

No, it’s a lot more than that, it’s a Park Home that will cost about £80 a year to heat, Yes!! £80 pounds!!!</p>
<p>Our New Passive Park Home is packed full of all the latest heating equipment, we at Logcabins.lv say No to Gas, and yes to Air Source Heat Pumps, under floor heating, Air Recuperation Systems, and so very much more.</p>

<p>Over many, many Years Domestic type Park Homes, Caravans, Mobile Units Holiday Lodges have changed very little; sadly, they are still manufactured to a specification that is quite honestly laughable, and can deprecate as much as £7.500 a year!</p>
<p>When looking to purchase a Park Home, or a Holiday Home, maybe a Mobile Home or a holiday Lodge to put on your farm, or free hold, you need to think twice before purchasing anything that is built- manufactured to the BS3632 – 2005.</p>
<p>What is almost criminal is the way that these units are sold, the word <strong>Home</strong> is used too frequently in sales material of companies who sell these inadequate piles of garbage. They are not a home from home, your house increases in value, your Park Home built under the BS 3632 does not.</p>
<p>Structural Timbers is another word used a lot in their sales material. Yet, any mention of what graded material is used in the manufacturing is missing from their literature!</p>
<p>In addition, the sentence, <strong>We will</strong> <strong>Build your Dreams</strong>, should be replaced with, <strong>we will fleece you for everything you have and more!</strong></p>
<p><strong> </strong>Your Park Home should be an investment, it should be your Home, and there is no law that states your Park Home cannot be manufactured to the UK building regulations. The only reason why they don’t is profit!</p>
<p>So why do companies that manufacture park homes use chipboard, plywood, and PVCu windows and door? Why is the unit build quality so bad!</p>
<p>Its quite simple really, they want repeat business, so they manufacture absolute garbage that lasts 10 years and then needs replacing.</p>
<p>I know many companies will refute this, but it’s so simple to find the truth on value of second hand Park Homes, its called ebay!</p>
<p>We searched and noticed that at least 99.9% of park homes loose the value of 80% of their worth in the first 7-9 years!</p>
<p>A quality long lasting park home &#8211; lodge needs the ingredients of quality timber, quality insulation, built by a skilled workforce that manufactures not just park homes but houses, hotels, schools and all manner of other type timber constructions.</p>
<p>And what materials you use in the process of the build is so incredibly important.</p>
<p>The UK has a shortage of timber, most forests have long gone, and the UK imports nearly 87% of all its timber from abroad! This means that after the timber has been delivered to the Park Home manufactures based in the UK. It’s costly and normally the grade is not just below par, its awful, and expensive, compared to what LogCabins.LV use.</p>
<p>C24 graded FSC 45m x 195m timber frame work (stud work) in the UK is near on impossible to find, also graded 45m x 145m graded timber also is very hard to find, as most companies use in the Park Home industry 73mm x 36mm frame work, stud work! Which is half of what should be used to give the Park Home strength and longevity.</p>
<p>Also there are many types of insulation, because every Park Home-Mobile Home- Holiday Lodge from logcabinslv.co.uk is in reality a bespoke, we look at your budget and our full time architects will give you the best specification to meet your budget.</p>

<p>Our New Highly insulated Park homes-Holiday Homes and not just built to the whimsy BS 3632 build code, or to the highly insufficient UK building regulations, and also way higher than the New Euro 5 code, we have designed these buildings to be incredibly highly efficient, highly desirable, minimalistic, functional, and kitted out with a platinum service pack. Marble/Granite worktops, wet rooms, built in cupboards and so very much more.</p>
<p>There are too many building companies that offer rubbish, hiding behind building regulations, and we are fed up with seeing second hand park homes- mobile homes being sold for 1/10 of their value 10 years after they were purchased.</p>
