OUR RESIDENTIAL MOBILE PARK HOMES ARE THE BEST

Below is an accurate description on how the standard BS 3632 Park Homes, or static mobiles, are manufactured by the top 10 UK leading manufacturers: “They do not have to be better”, they just meet the regulation to its letter.

And when you are hypnotised by the kitchen and TV you forget to ask them one very simple question, Is this a financial investment? if they say yes, they are lying, if they say no then they are just plain stupid, as why do they think for the past 50 years you have bought and sold and earned a tidy sum from your property portfolio,, to waste every penny on a cheap, nasty , awful , rubbish BS 3632.

Our residential park homes are manufactured to such a high standard that no one in the industry is even slightly close, our basic insulation package is 250 floors, 300 walls, and 350 roof, fitted with triple glazed windows and doors. That’s just the beginning; all our units are made with C24, graded KD FCE timber, we offer fireproof, waterproof, and insulated cladding on the outside of the building; and amazing internal panel systems that make you building look like a house in Park Lane. And the price is lower than anything even similar to that offered in the UK.

Insanity, from £80.000 to 500.000 for a Residential Park Home manufactured to the standard

BS3632’s Dreadful Reality: Poorly Manufactured, Expensive, and Wasteful

The British Standards Institution (BSI) developed BS3632 standards to ensure that the building and design of residential park houses, vacation lodges, and static caravans satisfy the appropriate safety and quality norms. On the surface, these tight rules appear to be a wonderful concept; nevertheless, upon closer study and analysis, it becomes abundantly clear that adhering to BS 3632 frequently leads in expensive, overpriced holiday homes of poor quality, far from optimal comfort and safety. Indeed, deciding to build and purchase a vacation home to this standard demonstrates a careless disdain for quality, wastefulness of resources, and utter financial inefficiency.

To begin with, BS3632-compliant constructions are frequently built with extremely expensive building materials such as premium insulation, strong roofing materials, and fire-resistant materials. As a result, these vacation homes are significantly more expensive than residences that do not adhere to such stringent regulations. Factory cabins, the most popular choice for park home buildings in the UK, are often even more expensive due to their large-scale production procedures. Aside from the financial burden, the bulk of these high-end building materials are generally of poor quality, revealing a lack of attention and diligence in their design and construction. As a result, many holiday homes that meet the BS3632 standard today are bad investments, with poor performance in cold temperatures, trouble holding heat, and a variety of other structural flaws.

Furthermore, the inefficiency and excessive expense of such a method of developing vacation homes do not end there. If your static caravan, holiday home, or mobile home fails to meet BS3632 standards, large-scale improvements and renovations are frequently required; this necessitates both financial and time investments that could have been avoided if a stronger emphasis on quality was placed during initial construction. Furthermore, up to 60% of the resources used to construct the mobile or park home are frequently squandered, making this an unsustainable and expensive approach in both the short and long term.

It is clear that the harsh reality of BS 3632 does not live up to the initial promise; while the idea of having such stringent guidelines for the construction and design of residential park homes may appear appealing, following BS 3632 frequently results in poorly manufactured, overpriced, and wasteful holiday homes. Choose a builder and manufacturer who refuses to accept subpar materials and is dedicated to providing you with the best holiday home experience possible for great quality, safety, and sustainability in your vacation house. We are dedicated to delivering holiday homes that meet and exceed industry standards without sacrificing energy efficiency, comfort, or your budget at [Your Company Name]. Timber Frame or Brick, which is better?

The thermal performance and energy efficiency of new brick buildings and fully insulated timber frame buildings differ dramatically. The article dives into the reasons why new brick projects frequently fall short in these areas when compared to their timber-framed equivalents. It is important to highlight that this debate does not explore any legal, ethical, or moral consequences; rather, it concentrates entirely on the technical elements of the problem.

To begin, the selection of construction materials is critical in determining a building’s energy efficiency. Brick buildings, despite their longevity and aesthetic appeal, have poor insulating characteristics. Bricks are dense and have a relatively large thermal mass, which means they can absorb and hold heat. However, this same quality works against them in terms of energy efficiency. During hot weather, brick walls can absorb and reflect heat into the building’s interior, raising internal temperatures and increasing dependency on cooling equipment.

Timber frame constructions, on the other hand, take advantage of the natural insulating characteristics of wood. Wood has a lesser thermal conductivity than brick, which means it does not transport heat as easily. Because of this intrinsic feature, timber-framed constructions are more effective at keeping a steady indoor temperature. Furthermore, timber framing allows for the insertion of insulation materials within the walls, producing a barrier that limits heat transfer between the interior and outside environments. As a result, these buildings demand less energy for heating and cooling, contributing to increased energy efficiency.

The construction approach itself contributes to the variations in thermal performance. Brick buildings are built using traditional masonry techniques that entail laying individual bricks with mortar. This procedure can result in gaps between bricks through which heat can penetrate, resulting in thermal bridging. These gaps can impair the insulation of the building envelope, making it less effective at preventing heat exchange. Timber frame buildings, on the other hand, can be precisely built to minimise such gaps, ensuring a more continuous and effective insulation layer.

Furthermore, the design freedom of timber frame construction allows for the incorporation of sophisticated insulating materials. Modern insulation materials, such as rigid foam boards and spray foam, can be smoothly incorporated into timber frame constructions, providing better levels of heat resistance. Because of construction limits, these materials are frequently difficult to retrofit into existing brick buildings. Timber frame buildings have a distinct advantage in terms of adapting to evolving insulation methods due to their design versatility.

Another critical issue is building pace. Brick buildings, due to their labor-intensive nature, might take longer to finish, thus delaying the project timeframe. Timber frame buildings, on the other hand, may be erected faster, decreasing construction time and expenses. This efficiency not only allows for faster occupancy but also reduces the environmental impact of building activities.

This amazing timber-framed, highly insulated house below, if timber frame, with a external brick cladding system, which means, fireproof, long term wear, rain , waterproof, and also combines as insulation as well. What your looking at is an A rated highly green house, that saves you thousands in energy bills.

In conclusion, a variety of factors, such as material qualities, construction techniques, and design flexibility, contribute to the thermal efficiency of contemporary brick structures when compared to fully insulated timber frame buildings. Despite having advantages in terms of strength and beauty, brick buildings are not as energy efficient as timber-framed ones. It is important to note that these observations are based simply on technical concerns and do not go into ethical, legal, or moral issues.

Park Homes and Timber Frame Holiday Lodges

Quality Holiday Lodges

Park Homes by Logcabins.lv

Over many, many Years Domestic type Park Homes, Caravans, Mobile Units Holiday Lodges have changed very little; sadly, they are still manufactured to a specification that is quite honestly laughable, and can deprecate as much as £7.500 a year!

When looking to purchase a Park Home, or a Holiday Home, maybe a Mobile Home or a holiday Lodge to put on your farm, or free hold, you need to think twice before purchasing anything that is built- manufactured to the BS3632 – 2005.

What is almost criminal is the way that these units are sold, the word Home is used too frequently in sales material of companies who sell these inadequate piles of garbage. They are not a home from home, your house increases in value, your Park Home built under the BS 3632 does not.

Structural Timbers is another word used a lot in their sales material. Yet, any mention of what graded material is used in the manufacturing is missing from their literature!

In addition, the sentence, We will Build your Dreams, should be replaced with, we will fleece you for everything you have and more!

Your Park Home should be an investment, it should be your Home, and there is no law that states your Park Home cannot be manufactured to the UK building regulations. The only reason why they don’t is profit!

So why do companies that manufacture park homes use chipboard, plywood, and PVCu windows and door? Why is the unit build quality so bad!

Its quite simple really, they want repeat business, so they manufacture absolute garbage that lasts 10 years and then needs replacing.

I know many companies will refute this, but it’s so simple to find the truth on value of second hand Park Homes, its called ebay!

We searched and noticed that at least 99.9% of park homes loose the value of 80% of their worth in the first 7-9 years!

A quality long lasting park home – lodge needs the ingredients of quality timber, quality insulation, built by a skilled workforce that manufactures not just park homes but houses, hotels, schools and all manner of other type timber constructions.

And what materials you use in the process of the build is so incredibly important.

The UK has a shortage of timber, most forests have long gone, and the UK imports nearly 87% of all its timber from abroad! This means that after the timber has been delivered to the Park Home manufactures based in the UK. It’s costly and normally the grade is not just below par, its awful, and expensive, compared to what LogCabins.LV use.

C24 graded FSC 45m x 195m timber frame work (stud work) in the UK is near on impossible to find, also graded 45m x 145m graded timber also is very hard to find, as most companies use in the Park Home industry 73mm x 36mm frame work, stud work! Which is half of what should be used to give the Park Home strength and longevity.

Also there are many types of insulation, because every Park Home-Mobile Home- Holiday Lodge from logcabinslv.co.uk is in reality a bespoke, we look at your budget and our full time architects will give you the best specification to meet your budget.

Below is a normal specification for our Park Homes, Holiday Lodges. This specification is way past anything on offer in the UK. All timber is graded, C24.

Highly Insulated Timber Frame Housing

As one of the largest timber frame house suppliers in Norway, we are often asked to manufacture highly insulted timber frame buildings for the northern most part of the country. Norwegians are very much into keeping the landscape looking natural and designing their properties to blend into the countryside.

Norway has one of the highest build regulation standards in the world. TEK 10.

Three times that of the UK and most of Europe.

Insulation values are a major part of this high standard, but also on par with insulation is build quality. Visual Graded CE KD C24 is the only grade expectable for all weight bearing walls, roof etc. Most of Europe and UK use Visual Graded C16, which is the bottom most part of the Visual Grade Scale. (Please ask your builder which grade he is thinking of using in your timber frame build).

Norwegians love to use sedum roofing out in the wilds, as this offers amazing insulation properties to the timber frame or Log Cabin dwellings and gives the building a natural feel, and also brings natural into the design, so it’s a plus, plus , plus!

Sedum roofing is a very heavy alternative to steal tiles, or shingles. All our timber frame buildings are built regardless if they are erected in Northern Norway or Essex with strength in every part of the construction.

If you are looking for a quality timber frame building-house-office-garage-park home-mobile-granny annex- etc, please give us a call or send us an email.

Timber Frame Park Homes by logcabinslv.co.uk

Eco Fully Insulated Timber Frame Park Homes

Are you looking for a full turnkey solution? Are you fed up with high price tags and low specifications? Buildings timber frame housing for more that 47 years!

If you are looking for a park home that will be worth more in ten years time, please keep reading!

Too many companies use wording like, sustainable alternative, strong eco focus, renewable and recyclable, this kind of literature is just to justify high pricing.

Logcabins.LV is focused on quality timber, straight from certified FSC lumber, which is KD and Trada Graded. We use only C24 for all structural elements. We believe in fair pricing and great value.

We are one of the only companies in the UK- Europe that buy our timber-lumber direct from source, manufacture all our buildings in the Baltic’s, and then ship the full pre made panels-Glulam Logs pre made to the UK or Europe. (Our Carbon Foot Print =The whole process consists of just 2 truck journeys). We are also the only company as we know manufacturing buildings for Norway with full TEK 10 building code.

Why should you purchase your buildings from us? Why is the quality of our buildings so much higher than those manufactured in the UK-Europe?

Well! It’s an easy one to answer, slightly long winded but here goes.

Our Panels are made with thicker, better , graded timber, highly insulated, quality siberian grade A larch  and our prices are beyond approach for the level of quality!

Nearly 90% of quality graded timber used for house manufacturing in the UK comes from the Baltic’s, Russia, Sweden, Finland, (The best timber in the world is Russian). Sadly the UK has very little in the way of quality timber and very few forests.

The Difference…Our timber comes direct from the Government FSC Forest Wholesaler.

Our Russian timber also is FSC.. It is a known fact that  The Russian Government is very pro active on timber stocks and FSC.

The Difference….This means we get the best of the best timber fibre , quality, highest grade, and at great pricing. Our timber quality is impossible to find in the UK, unless you import timber yourself and come to our forests and hand pick each and every log, finished profiled boards, as we do!

(Our Competitors) When a shipper (timber agent) put’s in an order , It travels from our government  or  privately  owned mills  to the key side. Most boards are pre cut and are known as either Unseasoned, or KD (Kiln Dried Timber)

(Our Competitors) The Timber then will sit on key side until there is enough lumber to justify a shipment to the UK.

(Our Competitors) This could take anything from one month to three months to leave the key side for final destination.!

(Our Competitors)  This means your timber is sat beside the sea in winter or summer, unseasoned timber is not covered! (salt and timber not a great mix) Also the timber ownership has changed hands twice at this point! (Plus stevedore costs).

(Our Competitors)  the timber is loaded on to the vessel and can be at sea for as long as 5 to 8 days, depending on weather conditions and port destination, if the weather is bad the timber on top deck can be seriously affected by salt once again.

(Our Competitors)  the vessel arrives, the timber will be unloaded and once again stored key side until sold or shipped to final destination ( a lot of companies store timber key side as storage costs are lower on dock side).. Then 6 to 9 months after the logs were felled and machined into square edged planks-boards, the local builder goes to his timber whole seller with your deposit to purchases what you believe is fresh quality timber.

(Our Competitors)  when we read through company’s brochures about carbon neutral, footprint, quality timber, fresh etc, most of everything written is so far fetched its offensive to the ones that really are looking at carbon foot prints, fresh timber, and amazing quality buildings..

Do not settle for less. logcabinslv.co.uk..
