To manufature Log Cabins its an art, you do not just trow timber in at one end, and a log cabin comes out the other, OK there are some companies who manufacturer bulk and it is throw in one end and what pops out the other is, well madness.

We Manufacture the best, we build to customers request, so everything you see in this video, , everything to light fixtures, wiring etc, was done to the way the customer asked. We are very proud of our quality, of course, and we are also very proud of our teams that put our buildings together, assembly is always the hard part.
Many many years ago, we would sell, 10 to 20 truck each and every month of the same buildings, and they all were OK but they were nothing special, now we manufacture only what we want and for who we want, because to but a lot of love and care in a building, you must really take your time and do it correctly. This twinSkin, ( please remember we were the first ever to offer a twinskin log cabin in any form, and I was the first ever person in this industry to design, manufacture and sell this system, so I am quite proud that now everyone offers them, yes they copied, but I do not care, as it means that everyone has the ability to now be warm in the winter in their log cabins, however the windows and doors are something special in our cabins, there is no one offering these, and the reason for this is price, our are super expensive, but, the reasoning behind this is sound, the firth part of any cabin to give in is the doors, they always fall apart, check out the top 4 bulk manufacturers on google, and look at their doors and windows, utter crap! they will never show you an up close photos of them until they arrive at your door in a badly packed building, of them, because they are crap, but we do, because I am super proud

WOW, I know everyone today had that response when we handed over the building to the customer, it was quite the celebration, these new offices were built in 2 weeks, and wired out, and fitted with kitchens and bathrooms, if your looking for that perfect office building, then please come to Factory Cabins, its ok manufacturing small pretty garden quality cabins, but we also manufacture the offices, schools and the like, and for money that will not kill your pocket, there is no reason to go to a reseller, , always come direct. Timber, Cabins and very Big Lies.

TwinSkin Log Cabins are without doubt, without doubt the best way of having a very large insulated structure and are still cheaper than Sips and Timber Frame.

So why do think my twin skins are better, simple, i was the first to ever make one, design them and manufacture and offer to market, and over the years where others that have copied my design have not moved on, i have, i make them better than anyone else, I fit them out with superb windows and doors, and lastly I make sure that my build crews in the UK and Ireland know what they are doing.

Now let’s look at the competition, because if your smart your going to look around and find out what’s what and who’s who, so the first thing to do is make sure the timber is Belarusian or even Better Russian, not quick grown Splitting Baltic Pine or Spruce, Imedeska uses Baltic as do 90% of mills, sadly in the UK your timber industry like gas and other industries have started to fade and fade away, which is sad, but Inevitable, you have given Russia so many sanctions and bit the hand that fed you so often you are now in quicksand, slowly sinking, I think Boris will stop working with the EU on many fronts soon, and make ties, make peace, with Putin, and understand he is not our enemy, don’t listen to any of the left wing bullshit they tell you about him, its all crap.

Russia has without doubt the best timber in the world, forget canada, they mostly have douglas fir and Cedar, which is not particularly good for cabins, Russia Red and White is what you need your cabin manufactured from, and that’s where we come in, unlike most in the world, our timber is Russian, which is why the pine is so Red, it’s tough amazing timber that is perfect for cabins, and it’s all I want to manufacture from.

Why am I so mad on Pine, simple it soaks up the treatment quickly and deeply, spruce does not!

Summer Cottages

Summer Cottage -log cabins

Through out Finland there are a staggering 152.000 lakes, around these pristine lakes are situated many thousands of sauna summer cottages.

Sauna in Finland is seen as the ideal way of rejuvenating the skin, getting rid of toxins and relaxing after a hard days work. Baths are not a common place in Finnish houses or apartments.

Therefore, when the Fin’s travel to their summer cottages at the weekends, or on their annual leave, sauna is a huge part of that vacation experience.

Incorporating a sauna into a summer cottage needs to be thought out well, as the whole family will participate, which means their could be as many as 10 to 20 people enjoying an evening in the woods, having BBQ a few beers, Sauna and midnight swim.

Around the summer, cottages could be many small interlocking log cabins to accommodate friends and family, so interlocking log cabins, or timber frame cabins are very popular in Finland.

Most summer cottages are fully insulated, and some can be as large as 250 sq meters, depending on the plot size! Triple Glazing and strong roofs are necessary due to snowfall, below temperatures, and the occasional bear waking up and foraging, and the most popular route into a cottage by bears is through the roof!

It is very important that when manufacturing a summer cottage one begins to think about what kind of timber to use, in the old days it would have been solid logs, round, hand sawn and quite a crude structure. More refined summer cottage cabins came to fruition in the 60’s and 70’s, and then in the 80’s quality interlocking structures were popping up all over the lakeshores. These are manufactured from quality pine logs and from then until now nothing much has changed in design or quality.

We have looked at traditional summer cottages and believe that by using an Engineered 220mm x 200mm Glulam log, this will be sufficient to keep the cold out, will stand the test of time with the scorching summers and extremely cold winters.
