Camping Pods

Over the years, we have seen our High Quality Camping Pods lead all other designs in Design, Quality and price. Log Cabins LV is the number one Camping Pod Manufacturer.

When purchasing a camping pod, you need to understand what to look for and how longevity and quality of build is so incredibly important.

Too many of you out there with a small parcel of land are looking to earn an extra income, and believe that putting up anything (cheap pods) will do as long as the campers stay dry!

Now, and I am not at all backing the manufacturer who manufactured this pod, but farmers, camping grounds, backpacking grounds far too often say, NO, to high insulation packages for camping pods just to save a few hundred pounds.

In addition, many campsites that have cheap pods fail to put up the correct signage, and regulations.

28 mm Log Cabins

Over many, many years I have stated more than once, and a few of you will say out there I have said it more than that, that 28mm log cabins are crap.

Then low and behold, 3 weeks ago I changed my mind. ( this came as a shock)..

A friend of mine contacted me and asked me to visit his production of new 28mm log cabins.

Sadly, all the 28mm log cabins I have ever come across normally manufactured in an old building, with old machines, using cheap timber, and have badly constructed windows and doors.

So with this in mind, I went to visit my friends mill, with a preconceived idea that what I would find would be rubbish.

I can honestly say, the timber was some of the best I have ever seen.

Northern Russian Pine, amazing quality, hardly any knots, planed and profiled (double tongue and grooved).

The windows and doors were good quality, and the finish was I think as good as our 45mm cabins.

The pricing on these units was incredible and I know that the UK market will eat them up and demand more.

I have waited nearly 14 years to find a manufacture that actually cares about how to produce a quality 28mm log cabin.

What I would like to speak about tonight is not the normal stuff of looking at the bulk superstore type manufacturing cabins that blight our gardens and look like repetitive clones from one garden to another.

The windows and doors that fall apart after one season because of their shoddy construction and poor workmanship.

I want to speak about the lies told on websites that sell log cabins that go unnoticed.

Today there were a group of us on Skype chatting about windows and doors, and how companies tell absolute lies.

OK for instance, a company said, I quote, we manufacture the best windows and doors in the industry as a standard fit?

So then this company goes onto explain how their glass unit, that is not even CE certified, which is 4m x 6m x 4m is the best in the business.

What a load of rocking horse pooh, 14mm double glazed units, that are not even certified are the best the industry has to offer. Looks like the person that wrote that, never surfs the web of knows what his competition is offering.

To be honest I would not say logcabinslv are the competition, we are the leaders in this market, due to the fact we have been here longer than anyone, and have the largest range and largest design portfolio than anyone.

But we also offer better, and we offer it as standard.

Our Deluxe Range of Windows and Doors are CE certified, 24mm thick, and come sprayed to your choice of colour. No one offers that but us.

There are companies that claim to sell this, but actually its a bulk superstore lie, as only we offer this in the market for 44mm log cabins.

So how it we can, they can’t, I hear you ask, well it’s quite simple.

Log Cabin manufacturers, the Bulk trashy superstore kind of set ups manufacture in Bulk, and I mean mass bulk, Mass, go onto their websites and they will show you cabins piled high on top of one another, and who wants 20 tons of timber sat on their cabin before they get it? Seriously, do you?

Anyway, the reason these mills can not produce decent windows and doors is because of profit, and the way to get the profit margins high is pack them high, and manufacture the superstore way, which is cheap and cheerful.

And this is why windows and doors in 99.9% of log cabins are crap!

Also the manufacturing of windows and doors is important, and log cabin mills do not tend to invest in quality machinery for the manufacturing of windows and doors, its normally crude, and set up for volume not quality.

Is the British government really seriously into everything Green and Eco, and for green spaces, and Environmentally aware, seriously are they, because its funny how they allow companies in Hull to manufacture a building that has as much U vale as a Tea Bag, and keeps it value like an old pair of socks.

Why are we filling our holiday parks up with absolute shit? A standard static park home has more plastic, (external cladding) (showers, Baths etc) also plastic UVPC windows and doors, than a Adult Toy factory in Malaysia.

Seriously most static vans are absolute crap, and they cost anything from £60.000 to £300.000, and after X amount of years they are absolutely worthless. Worthless…

Why are we allowing this to go on, why are not all Park Homes built to building regulations. Why? The answer stumps me also. The government is gutless and obviously someone is getting a huge back hander!!!
